Projectile Motion
Launch objects into the air and analyze their parabolic path. See how angle, speed, and gravity shape the trajectory of a projectile.
Topic Overview
Projectile motion is the motion of an object thrown or projected into the air, subject only to the acceleration of gravity. The path it follows is always a parabola. By treating the horizontal and vertical motions independently, we can predict its trajectory, range, and maximum height.
What You Can Do
- Use the controls to set the launch angle and initial speed of the projectile.
- Fire the cannon and watch the camera follow the action.
- Observe the velocity vectors change in real-time on the projectile.
- Toggle the trajectory trail to visualize the full parabolic arc.
